Greetings! My name is Edna Harris, Literacy Coach at Henry Marsh, lll Elementary School with a master's degree in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix, Reading Specialist masters degree from Averett University, Gifted Specialist masters degree from the University of Virginia and a masters in Specific Learning Disabilities from Old Dominion University. With a deep commitment to improving student outcomes, I have spent my career fostering literacy skills for students of all abilities. My diverse expertise allows the opportunity to provide individualized strategies that support the unique needs of struggling readers, students with disabilities, and those in gifted programs alike. I am passionate about creating inclusive educational environments where every student can thrive. My work is grounded in the belief that literacy is a critical foundation for academic success and lifelong learning. As a Literacy Coach, I am dedicated to empowering educators and ensuring that students reach their full potential, regardless of their starting point. Whether working directly with students or collaborating with teachers, my focus is on achieving positive, measurable outcomes in literacy that will have a lasting impact on student achievement.

Meagan Jackson

Reading Interventionist

Meagan Jackson is a dedicated Reading Interventionist with over a decade of experience in fostering literacy development among diverse student populations. Holding a Master’s degree in K-6 Education from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Meagan specializes in creating tailored reading intervention plans that address individual student needs and promote a love for reading.  Throughout her career, Meagan has worked with students from early childhood through fifth grade, utilizing evidence-based strategies and innovative tools to enhance reading skills. Her approach combines diagnostic assessments with personalized instruction to support students in overcoming reading difficulties and achieving academic success.  Meagan’s expertise extends beyond the classroom; she is also an active contributor to professional development workshops, where she trains educators on effective reading intervention techniques and the integration of technology in literacy instruction. Her commitment to advancing literacy education is reflected in her collaborative work with parents, teachers, and school administrators to create supportive learning environments.  Recognized for her passion and dedication, Meagan has been awarded the Teacher of the Year award by George Mason Elementary in Richmond, Virginia. She continues to advocate for literacy as a fundamental component of educational success, striving to inspire and empower each student to reach their full potential.
