Mission

Richmond Public School Libraries are devoted to empowering students and teachers to become lifelong learners with a joy and culture of reading.  RPS librarians strive to provide high-interest books and instructional materials for all reading levels and all readers. Our school librarians have adopted the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) National School Library Standards for use in every facet of the library. Their aim is to collaborate with fellow educators, other librarians, and parents and to provide efficient access to high-quality library services. Our common goal: for our students think, Create, Share, and Grow!
